I cannot express just how happy and thankful we are with the training Matt at Hard Nose K9 Services provided our pup! Casper (Great Pyrenees/Blue Heeler Mix) is a rescue puppy from a family trip out to Yellowstone last summer, and due to his working / herding breed instincts we knew he would need intensive training. Casper was very reactive on walks and was not trusting of certain situations. He would pull towards cars and people on walks, bark excessively, and would retreat in fear. This made it difficult to take him on walks or to have him in social settings. We are also a camping family who travels a lot. So we are in the campgrounds surrounded by people and noises. After one very difficult walk this Spring, we started to look into trainers and found Matt. We chose Matt and Hard Nose K9 Services because he wanted a more personal training experience. Matt worked one-on-one with Casper during his board and train experience. This provided Casper with the personal attention he needed to become a well trained, successful pup! Once Casper was back home with us we noticed the difference immediately! Casper was able to follow commands which lead to successful walks with no pulling or lunging! I can even talk him on long runs and he loves it! At the campground, Casper is calm and relaxed! He has become a successful, well trained pup thanks to Matt and his services. Matt is an amazing person as well as trainer. Within 2 lessons my Rosie went from dragging me around to an amazing walker. He should also train children, it would increase his business. If you have a dog that needs to know that you are the boss, Matt is the person for you.

Matt was great!! I dropped my puppy off to be trained with Matt and you could tell he really cared about my dog and training him. At the end he went over everything he did. He also sent me videos and explained everything so we could work on the skills at home. If you’re looking for a dog trainer, Matt is the guy!

Matt was great with our girl, Oakley! The first session we mastered off leash training. She has anxiety with other dogs, By the end of the first session she was able to be around another dog and not be bothered by it! He is very thorough on his descriptions and commands!
